New BMW X1 for enforcement in Sittard-Geleen
The Municipality of Sittard-Geleen has put a new BMW X1 into service for enforcement duties. The vehicle, supplied by Ekris BMW and MINI, has been equipped by Marelko with a complete warning solution tailored to daily operations in public spaces.
Optimal visibility from every angle
The BMW X1 is fitted with a Haztec XPERT lightbar with clear lenses, amber warning lighting at the corners, additional amber LED warning lights at the rear and alley lights on both sides. Matrix message boards have also been integrated at the front and rear, allowing clear warning and information messages to be displayed.
For additional attention value, 3” SoundOff Signal Fascia mPower warning lights have been installed in the grille and at the rear of the vehicle. This ensures that the BMW remains clearly visible from multiple directions, including in busy traffic or during roadside operations.
Reliable control and practical deployment
The warning systems are centrally controlled via a Eurosmart Modulux 2 control module. This allows the lightbar, warning lights, alley lights, stop messages and incident messages to be operated easily and clearly from one system.
Practical usability has also been taken into account. The vehicle is equipped with interior lighting in the tailgate, a speaker with hand microphone and a Maglite with an orange traffic cone. In addition, the BMW is connected to the Marelko service portal, allowing service and maintenance to be managed efficiently.
With this configuration, the Municipality of Sittard-Geleen now has a professional enforcement vehicle that is ready for safe, visible and reliable operation in practice.
